Our Schnoodles

Our schnoodles are a cross between the purebred miniature schnauzer and the purebred miniature poodle. This would make them an F1 hybrid and the reason we cross two purebred parents is because we feel this gives each of our pups a better chance at not picking up any bad genes that are associated with purebred dogs. This isn’t to say that all crosses are healthy. You still need to take care with picking quality stock.

We do have one toy schnauzer Mom for those who want a smaller version of the miniature schnoodle. The toy schnoodles are not recommended for all families.

Our Miniature Schnoodles mature to a height of 11-14” and weigh roughly 14-17 lbs for females and 16-20 lbs for males.

Our Toy Schnoodles mature to a height of 9-11” and weigh roughly 7-11 for either gender.

We have had many colors from the parents we use such as chocolate, silver, blue, black, wheaten, parti (spotted) chocolate and white, parti black and white, liver/pepper, salt/pepper, black/tan, white, apricot and silver/tans.

We provide a 24 month limited guarantee on all our pups. Each gets many hours of training and handling right from birth. All families are involved in picking which pup best suits their family. Our toy schnoodles will be placed in certain homes only.

About Us

My husband and I live on 5 acres with our 4 older children in a small town setting. We have been married for 17 years and both of us grew up with dogs. I volunteered in shelters and a vet clinic for a few years before we married. I also worked in a pet store and saw many pups not fit to be sold because they were either poorly socialized, lacked confidence some were not very not healthy. I have seen how pups are brought to pet stores with little information being said about their parents or back grounds. These same pups were sold a couple days later for hundreds of dollars. What bothered me the most was the family buying a pup on impulse.

We are NOT big breeders and have no plans to be. We started out 16 years ago with three dogs and that is the way it was for 12 years. Our dogs and their offspring have always been raised in our home with our children and other pets. We do not compromise on health, structure and temperaments when it comes to our dogs. Every pup we raise must have a certain temperament and understand about pack leadership before they leave. You can read more on this on our Testing/Findings page. We have searched hard to find schnauzers with non-typically colors to pass onto their schnoodle babies.

Our Goals

To raise healthy, happy, kid friendly, easy to train, social, eager to please, confident and loving schnoodles. I try to create in each of our pups that schnauzer attitude of thinking and acting like they can do anything big dogs can do. Plus we hope for the intelligence that all poodles have an abundance of...mixed in with the loyalty of the schnauzer. Schnoodles are hypoallergenic as are their parents the schnauzer and the poodle.

We also want all our pups to accept humans as there pack leaders and be willing to accept this same standard in their new home.
