Jewel" is our liver/pepper toy schnauzer that we raised from birth. The minute she was born I was hooked. She is a beautiful hazel eyes and is such a spunky little girl. Up's...she is beautiful! Her size makes it easy to take her any where even as a carry on if you are looking for a flying buddy and or do a lot of travelling. She is very sweet, very loyal, very smart and loves to cuddle. Jewel is our daughter Stevie's dog...they are glued at the hip! Jewel is perfect in our eyes and is our little princess. Down's...she is SPOILED! She is head strong and can be a tad hard to break from something when she sets her mind on getting a job done...no matter what it is. She "thinks" she is 100 lb dog and will stand to defend us against anything. She was spoiled and her bad habits like barking at strangers is something we created in our lack of training her as a puppy. She was so small as a baby so my girls often "rescued her" when I was trying to teach her. The toys are NOT for children under 8 years old. Being tiny doesn't make them great playmates for children. Children want a dog they can run with without worrying if a ball will knock them over or break a leg. Toy's also always seem to have something to prove. They can be yappy and assertive even though they look "cute" they do need a family willing to take them to puppy school and they need socializing from a young age. Jewel is 10.5" and a whopping 7.3 pounds...she is our smallest schnauzer considered a Toy. She will throw chocolates, liver peppers, silver/tans, blacks and black and white partis and silver and white partis. Her schnoodle babies will be 6-11 pounds and stand 9"-11" full grown. We do plan to breed her to BoDeago and keep two of their daughters. We love the toys but they are not for all families. |
